Here I provide some old stuff, kept here as an archive: UML patches which were released before October 2004:
NOTE: Do not use anything in the testing/ folder unless you are able to
understand what the patch does: I've not put here an explanation about what they do. They are
developer patches.
2.4 split-out guest patches.
2.4.24-2-inc-split.tar.bz2 is a tarball containing the splitout version of 2.4.24-2um, to be applied onto 2.4.24-1um.
UML-splitout-2.4.26-2.tar.bz2 is the new version, containing the splitout version of all the changes from 2.4.24-1um to 2.4.26-2um; it must be applied onto a vanilla 2.4.26 + the 2.4.24-1um patch; it includes already the patch to make UML 2.4.24-1 compile onto 2.4.26.
Here is the complete announce of the 1st one I posted onto the mailing lists.
Here you can download patch-scripts; to install them you must just expand the tarball into /usr/local/bin (or any folder you like; remember to update the $PATH var if needed):
www.zip.com.au/~akpm/linux/patches/patch-scripts-0.18/You should also add to it the latest patch from this folder. Those are patchset providing new bugfixes and cleanups. They must be applied on top of the main UML patch; the ones named *-complete.patch.bz2, instead, are complete patches (but they can be missing).
Update: since now Jeff has started publishing his patches in split out form, and UML is being merged in 2.6.9 vanilla kernel, then I'm not uploading any new releases of my personal tree. The last one I've uploaded is 2.6.7-bb6, however now it's outdated.
